Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12.
The College is located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.About you:The College is seeking a team-oriented individual to assist in providing our hospitality services including canteen and food operations.
Ideally, you will have the ability to work independently and also participate effectively in a small team, be proactive, positive and organised.
Competent computer skills are also expected.About the role:You can work school hours and enjoy all the school holidays.
It is a part-time position working each day Monday to Friday.
The usual hours would be 10.00 am - 2.30 pm and be approximately 60% allotment.
Your responsibilities will include:Assist in the coordination of the day-to-day service of the canteen at the Woodend Campus and at times support the Mt Macedon Campus.Work as directed by the Hospitality Co-ordinator.Food preparation for Hospitality classes as required.Assist with undertaking daily/weekly orders ensuring fresh produce and timely deliveries.Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements.Cleaning duties as scheduled in Hospitality and food areas.Supporting the College cafeteria and Food Services.Provision of customer service to students, staff and visitors.At times prepare food for upcoming events in a timely manner.The successful candidates will display the following skills and attributes:Previous experience in the hospitality industry.Well developed time management and planning skills.Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.Confident communication style.Comfortable working with students.What we offer:In return for your dedication, you will be rewarded with:Excellent facilities and resources including new buildings.A collaborative team environment.Very competitive salary structure, inclusive of 17.5% leave loading.First Aid Training.Access to Employee Assistance Program.Access to salary packaging, and options to maximise your salary.To Apply:Please provide a cover letter, resume and the names of referees to Robyn Baddeley, Human Resources Manager.Applications should be made as soon as possible using the "apply" option.Applications should be made as soon as possible and will be evaluated as you apply, they will close on 7 February 2025.
