TARGETED VACANCY
As a Ranger on Minjerribah you will be caring for lands owned by the Quandamooka People, who have voluntarily consented to a significant proportion of their lands being managed as National Park.
What's in it for you?
- Fire Management: safeguard the island from bushfires and learn valuable skills in fire control and prevention and traditional burning practices. Wildlife response and conservation: respond to marine strandings and terrestrial incidents and monitor the islands unique wildlife. Pest Management: Help protect the unique flora and fauna of the island by managing invasive species. Visitor Engagement: Interact with visitors and educate them about the National
- Park's rich cultural and environmental heritage and undertake compliance. Plant and equipment operation: Operate various types of equipment to maintain Park infrastructure, walking tracks and fire lines. Cultural preservation: identifying and recording of cultural landscapes and artefacts. Record keeping and reporting for conservation purposes.
