Local Council writing their internal communications for 4 months, joining a team of 6

$45 - $55 per hour

A local government authority are seeking an experienced communications professional to report to the Project Communications Coordinator. The role will focus on bringing the organisation along on the website update journey. The position will be supporting with projects and creating content for various Council publications from time to time.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting with writing communications for internal staff
- Writing content for newsletters, media releases, speeches and social media
- Engaging with stakeholders to get an understanding of their needs from the content
- Writing and editing content across the website when required
- Supporting with various campaigns across Council departments and providing best practice advice

**Key requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications or relevant experience
- Previous experience developing and publishing content across a range of platforms
- Demonstrated understanding of various CMS
- Previous local government experience would be advantageous
