Ashford Thoracics is seeking an enthusiastic Respiratory Technician/Scientist to join our team at a well-established and busy lung function laboratory.

You will be responsible for obtaining meaningful test results from inpatients (at Ashford Hospital) and outpatients who have a variety of lung conditions.

**Summary of duties**
- Ensuring all respiratory function tests meet appropriate standards.
- Working with clinical and administrative staff to ensure delivery of best practice patient care and to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Performing administrative tasks associated with the practice activities including taking payments, uploading referrals and reports

**Essential Criteria**
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- Good interpersonal skills/bedside manner
- Familiarity with Sentry Suite pulmonary function testing software
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical software and hardware problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Desirable Criteria**
- Undergraduate degree in science, nursing or a related field
- Prior experience with medical practice management software eg. Gentu/Genie
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical software and hardware problems

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term, Casual, Temp to perm

**Salary**: $33.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Respiratory scientist/technician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Police Check (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
