About The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced and driven leader to support, mentor, and lead our Tow Truck Operator workforce (consisting of Employee and Contractors). The role plays a critical role in driving performance, optimising efficiency, meeting service KPIs, and enabling growth—while ensuring exceptional customer outcomes.
This is more than just an operational role; it's an opportunity to lead change, build capability, and make a measurable difference across our national transport and towing network.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead, mentor and manage our team of drivers to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient service delivery.
Build strong, collaborative partnerships with drivers, aligning performance and profitability with customer expectations.
Drive ongoing training, coaching, and compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with national safety and service standards.
Champion operational excellence—identifying opportunities, implementing improvements, and solving challenges across our field teams.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless, customer-first service experiences.
Monitor performance data and customer metrics and use insights to lead initiatives that elevate service delivery and drive business outcomes.
About You
You're a confident, capable leader with a practical understanding of contractor management and transport operations, having worked in a similar environment or role previously. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and are passionate about building strong teams, exceeding customer expectations, and making systems work smarter.
What You Bring
Proven experience in contractor or field team management (ideally within transport, logistics, or a service-based industry).
Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Deep understanding of safety compliance, operational KPIs, and cost-performance balance.
Track record of building trusted partnerships with contractors and stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into practical solutions.
Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative approach and willingness to work across departments to get results.
