THIS IS A PERMANENT FULL TIME ROLE, PREFERABLY BASED IN SYDNEY (open to other locations for the right person)

**Enough about us What you'll do as a Sport Editor**:
The Sport Editor is responsible for managing the sports departments nationally and driving results for 10News First as well as managing a high performing sports news team across the country.

**Functions will also include**:
Building on ratings results across the network with a key focus on the sports breaks.

Increasing online views of 10News First content

Prioritising and selecting newsworthy stories for each bulletin

Ensuring bulletins maintain live content and demonstrates a high level of creativity adding value to the bulletin

Maximising product across all social and digital platforms - creating and execute special programming for online platforms.

Managing strong relationships with journalists, producers, studio, editing and operational staff

Taking care of sports rosters, sports record lists, management, performance reviews and all other aspects of running the sports news teams.

Producing the Sydney bulletin.

What are we looking for in a Sport Editor? What's important?

Demonstrated experience as a sports producer and/or editor
Confident leadership skills, ability to make tough decisions when required with care and authority
Positive energy and genuine interest in producing great work
Someone who is digitally savvy
A genuine love of sport
