Position Details
Continuing, Full-Time (72.5 hours per fortnight)
People & Culture Directorate
CQUniversity Rockhampton North
Payroll Assistant x 1 - Higher Education Worker Level 4
Total Remuneration $88,138 to $93,095 pa (including salary of $74,478 to $78,667 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
Payroll Officer x 2 - Higher Education Worker Level 5
Total Remuneration $95,618 to $107,560 pa (including salary of $80,799 to $90,890 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
Qualifications
Strong computer skills and proven experience with MS Office Suite (including word processing, and high proficiency in Excel spreadsheets).
Knowledge and understanding of Australian salary, superannuation, taxation, salary sacrifice, salary packaging and best practice.
Excellent time management skills including the ability to plan, set priorities and meet deadlines with flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines.
Proven attention to detail and the ability to solve problems and use good judgement.
Previous experience working within a large Human Resource and Payroll operating system.
Strong financial literacy with the ability to interpret and analyse payroll data, reconcile accounts, and apply sound financial judgement in decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret Enterprise Agreements (EA) and legislation in conjunction with payroll and financial processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Well-developed oral, interpersonal, and written skills with a focus on quality customer service.
