**Job Summary**:
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all contractual aspects of our construction projects. You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and mitigating potential risks. Your attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will contribute to our company's success and client satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of construction contracts, including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, Contract Administrators, legal teams, and other stakeholders to clarify contractual terms and resolve any contract-related issues.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential contractual risks.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project scope, specifications, and deliverables to effectively manage contract requirements.
- Monitor contract performance, including tracking deliverables, timelines, preliminaries, procurement, subcontract and head contract administration and payments.
- Review and analyze claims, disputes, and change requests, and assist in their resolution.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory requirements related to construction contracts.
- Mentoring and training of Commercial Resources
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Strong construction experience preferably working on projects upwards of $50m
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Senior Contract Administrator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, legal principles, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with construction project management software
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to construction contracts
