As a Product Manager joining our high-performing team you will support the Service Owner - Switchers in attracting new everyday banking customers (hence the name "Switchers") and ensuring their onboarding journey with us is easy and hassle free. This is a pivotal role within the C&TB Line of Business as our goal is to make their first experiences with us awesome and to do that we need smart, fun & friendly people in our squad to help with the delivery of highly strategic and distinct product initiatives with our work being visible to millions of Australians.
**_On any given day, you will be _**
- Helping support the acquisition & onboarding of new Everyday banking customers across all Westpac Group brands (Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne & BankSA)
- Briefing strategic marketing on above-the-line proof points, ensuring traffic to our pages is optimised and customers are able to easily open accounts with us
- Testing, managing and delivering key initiatives to drive new sales and onboarding effectiveness with a multi-channel approach (e.g. digital, marketing, branch)
- Tracking & managing all acquisition traffic & onboarding activity to ensure targets are being met & understanding how we can continue to drive greater outcomes for both our customers & the business
- Implementing and optimising acquisition & onboarding journeys, looking at how we can minimise both customer and banker pain points and improve overall experiences
- Identifying insights on trends and opportunities to deliver to key strategic outcomes, segment growth & financial targets
- Ensuring end-to-end product management disciplines are maintained for squad activities (e.g. solutions/initiatives are compliant by design, accurate product information and governance/compliance is maintained across the digital customer journey)
- Establishing & maintaining key relationships across teams and functions (inc. outside the business) to deliver to broader line of business outcomes
- Managing compliance with internal policies and standards and external regulations and governance requirements in respect of product management for the portfolio
- Performing as the rectification manager on incident and/or issues, ensuring timings around acceptance & reporting & steps to rectify are complete then taking care of the remediation where required
- Building and managing business reporting and performance analysis using cutting edge data analytics tools

- Experience in Product Management, ideally within Banking and Financial Services
- Sound knowledge of business segments, including customer needs, pain points, opportunities, trends, and the competitive landscape
- Self-starter skills, able to work self-sufficiently with a proven ability to deliver quality outcomes in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Abilities to be an agile team player, who loves to network and is fun to do business with
- A structured data-driven mindset with strong planning, delivery and problem solving skills

- Confidence to exercise governance and best practise with everything you do
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a high degree of inductive reasoning ability
