**The Company**
Our client is an established Australian mining and exploration company with a strong presence in the mining sector. **About the Role**
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Payroll Officer will deliver accurate and timely end-to-end payroll preparation, ensuring data integrity and payroll reporting and compliance. The Payroll Officer will also be heavily involved in the development and ongoing maintenance of payroll systems and processes. This will include being a key user of Pronto and Kronos system.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Prepare and process pay runs for all employees, which includes fortnightly and monthly payrolls, from end-to-end.
- Prepare payments and compliance submissions for superannuation, payroll tax, workers compensation insurance, PAYG and other employee benefit payment and other compliance reporting requirements.
- Prepare month end reports and payroll accruals.
- Prepare and reconcile year-end payment summaries.
- Assist with the administration of the Employee Share Scheme.
- Monitor payroll related regulatory changes, and plan and implement measures to ensure compliance.
- Act as point of contact on payroll related enquiries.
- Develop and assist with payroll process and system improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the preparation of the budget for forecasts for employee costs.
- Prepare salary increase and employee bonus payments.
- Preparation ad-hoc reports

**About you**
You will be immediately available with around 5 years track record as a seasoned Payroll Officer and have experience with Pronto.
