Security Monitoring and Response Analyst II
Your Responsibilities
- Researching current and emerging threats
- Collaborate with threat intelligence stakeholders and provide analytical assessments of cyber threats
- Provide timely, actionable intelligence reports to key stakeholders
- Engage with intelligence communities to curate and consume threat intelligence
- Analyze large and unstructured data sets to identify trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activities.
- Provide situational awareness on the current threat landscape and the techniques, tactics and procedures associated with specific threats.
- Document and follow threat actors targeting Mastercard to provide proactive intelligence to Corporate Security stakeholders.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT, cybersecurity, computer science, or Intelligence related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience supporting cyber intelligence functions
- Experience with threat intelligence lifecycle, threat actor attribution, and threat mitigation
- Tactical, operational, and strategic knowledge of the cyber threat landscape to include different types of adversaries, campaigns, and motivations
- Ability to correlate internal and external intelligence
- Distinguish and track cyber threat groups, focusing on methodology and capability
- Knowledge of industry recognized security and analysis frameworks (Mitre ATT&CK, Kill Chain, Diamond Model, NIST Incident Response, etc.)
- Ability to query and build intelligence watchlists for proactive monitoring and correlation of internal log data
- Experience with industry Threat Intelligence Platform (ThreatConnect, Anomali Threatstream, etc.)
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) with experience briefing corporate executives and professionals
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with scripting and query languages is a bonus.
