**Position Objective**
The Learning & Development Trainer is a motivated professional with advanced industry skills, knowledge and experience. The Learning and Development Trainer will collaborate, develop, implement, facilitate and review internal and external training packages for Allambi Care. This professional will focus on staff development, support and training and contribute to the overall development and quality of service delivery within Allambi Care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities*
**Staff Support**
- Engage in regular supervision with Manager and identify any areas of support required.
- Encourage and demonstrate the need for continuous professional development, and the value it provides to an organisation.
- Participate in training on new and updated Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) initiatives, policies and procedures as required.
- Supervise and support other Learning and Development staff as required and conduct ongoing formal supervision.

Ongoing Tasks: *
- Work with relevant management staff to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved for staff and the people we care for with a high emphasis on fulfilling the Allambi Vision, Mission and Framework.
- Ensure training is produced to a high quality and meets industry standards.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Maintain sector and industry knowledge and ensure currency and relevancy as required.
- Maintain training record files, staff training portfolios and supervision/staff feedback for those undertaking trainings.
- Embrace different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching.

Develop, facilitate & review internal trainings as required including: *
- Induction; including Policy & Procedure, Needs Based Restorative Framework Training.
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training and Refreshers.
- Operational staff role and competency trainings.
- Probationary and e-learning trainings.

Develop, facilitate, assess and review the delivery of The Diploma of Community Services: *
Work in conjunction with the L&D Training Compliance Manager and regulatory authorities to implement and support staff in achieving the Diploma of Community Services. Ensure program operations are conducted in accordance with Policies and Procedures set by Allambi organisational outcomes, L&D Training Compliance Manager, Government Legislations, other regulatory requirements. Tasks include;
- Contributing to the development and ongoing compliance of course materials
- Facilitate learner enrolments, provide LLN assessment and ongoing support to assist learners in meeting the requirements of the Diploma of Community Services. You will be allocated a learner cohort to assess, mark, support and maintain accountability.
- Facilitate face to face training through assessment workshops including flexible hours to meet staff and organisational needs.
- Review and submission of your cohort's learner materials to be sent and assessed for Certification within set timeframes.
- Attend quarterly validation/moderation meetings to provide feedback, support and continuous improvement and quality control as required.

Essential Criteria : *
- Minimum 4 years demonstrated experience working with people with a disability or children and young people in OOHC.
- CHC**5*2015 - Diploma **of* Community Services or other relevant sector qualification.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Qualification. **(TAE 40116 or TAE40110 with required update). OR WILLINGNESS TO COMPLETE**:
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights to meet workshop needs.
- Advanced organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues, communicate and consult effectively with staff and external stakeholders in person and over phone.
- Proven ability to create and deliver informative reports with multiple facets of information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work transparently with multiple staff members within multiple departments of the organisation.
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency in MS Office.
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience working with Registered Training Organisations
- Bachelor's degree qualification in Education, Training and Assessment, Human Resources or other related degree.
- TCI Trainer Certification with; ambition to seek TCI professional and Instructor Certifications to assist with TACT Training and Consultancy opportunities.
- Experience using AIMS Management Module, and ability to navigate company server.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
- Website and Learning Management Systems (LMS) development experience
- Thorough understanding of all Support Workers requirements in the Allambi ITC and Lifemaps Departments.
