Chandler Macleod are recruiting an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic event graduate looking for a foot in the door working in professional events.

**Job Description**:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Events Administrator for our client who is a Local Government Agency on a 8-10-week contract basis. As an Events Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various events organized by the agency. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent events management graduate to gain hands-on experience in the industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the planning and delivery of annual events and festivals
- Assist in the planning and delivery of Civic Openings & Commemorations.
- Assist in the delivery of monthly citizenship ceremonies including liaising with Government Departments, and local Members of Parliament.
- Provide operational support to the event coordinator at events and activations outside of normal business hours.
- Assist in the events and destination marketing and promotion with the Communications Team and external media partners including social, web and digital media.
- Assisting with grant submissions.
- Raising Purchase Orders, processing invoices and keeping accurate records and transactions.
- Assisting in the coordination of volunteers, contractors and vendors for all events.
- Provide general administration duties for Visitor Experience & Events unit required.
- Other duties, commensurate with skills that may be required by the Events Co-ordinator and Manager Visitor Experience and Events.

**Requirements**:
Certificate or diploma in Events Management, or a related field.

Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience in event planning, coordination or support.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Full time hour Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30pm In Gordon, Sydney.

A positive attitude and a passion for the events industry.

Contract Details:
Duration: 10 weeks

Start Date: Asap

Compensation: $40-45 per hour plus super
