Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**Event Manager** to coordinate all components of an in-house week-long event and execute it to a high standard.
**About the role**:
- Report to the event steering committee
- Executing a new event for the department running over one week at the end of the year
- Coordinating all components of the event to ensure smooth operation
- Liasing with stakeholders to ensure needs are met for the event
- General administration, procurement and promotional tasks
- Venue organisation
- Provide input to a range of communication and media products
**Ideally, you will have**:
- Proven experience in event management, either in the design and delivery of academic conferences or industry expos
- Proven experience in project management and coordination of industry, academia and government stakeholders
- Outstanding representational and communication skills, and the ability to foster and maintain collaborative connections
- An ability to work constructively within a small team, exemplify resilience, use sound judgement and adapt in a shifting and ambiguous environment
- An ability to plan and execute a non-public event involving up to 400 people
