You'll be leading our Tech Learning & Development squad, within the Technology & Data group. Our purpose is to unlock our tech community's unlimited potential and we are a small but mighty team We are constantly learning about our technology community, to deliver foundational knowledge, awareness and desire for them to use the tools we have and need.

Working closely with the Executive Manager, Architecture and Tech Learning & Development as well as the broader tech community, this position plays an essential role in the successful design, development, and operations of our tech learning & development function. This function spans engaging through events and sponsorships, inhouse learning programs, supporting learning communities, and leveraging partners to amplify impact.

This role will also be part of a federated learning community across REA, contributing to common learning initiatives and frameworks as well as owning the School of Tech within REA University. Maintaining close alignment and shared ownership of REA's learning strategy is part of this role.

What the role is all about

While no two days are the same, day to day you can expect to:
- Provide people leadership for Tech L&D team members including the Tech L&D Coordinator & Business Analyst (School of Tech) with coaching, operational guidance and career support- Shape and execute REA's Tech Learning & Development strategy, including critical skills programs and our tech onboarding programs- Act as a point of contact for Tech related sponsorships and events, including hosting meetups at the REA offices, managing our presence at external tech conferences and managing relationships with sponsored organisations and other learning providers- Develop the strategy and roadmap for the Tech Learning & Development squad, to enable REA's technology strategy- Provide agile delivery leadership for the squad, ensuring day to day delivery of our objectives- Still be hands-on in the role This includes undertaking instructional design and creation of learning materials, coaching our community to develop and deliver scalable user-generated learning, and occasionally facilitating tech specific learning content- Manage the Tech L&D budget spend and plan for future budgets- Support the broader Tech Community in the delivery of broader community initiatives- Represent technology in the federated learning community including meeting and workshop participation to support enterprise learning priorities

Who we're looking for

You will have a few runs on the board - previous experience in a Learning & Development team along with people leadership or delivery lead experience. You are humanistic and kind and extremely passionate about personal growth and development as well as supporting others to achieve their learning goals.

You're a fast learner with the ability to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment, often with multiple priorities. You are keen to grow your technical competency and will be actively curious about emerging tech trends and techniques at REA and in industry, leveraging our tech community for support as needed.

You're proactive in using your logical thinking skills to find solutions & problem-solve. You can think strategically and innovatively to accelerate delivery and increase impact.

Your communication style is clear, concise, direct, and kind. You're great at asking questions to understand and anticipate needs. You're friendly, approachable and have good relationship management skills.
