**Grapple saw operator/ Ex arborist /Machine Operator**

Is your body getting old?

Do you want to stay in the field but are too sore to do it?

Do you want to learn to use industry leading equipment?

Arborcraft tree services is looking for an operator to run own of our grapple saw attachments. This position would be suited to someone that understands how tension works in a tree and has used an excavator. Experience using grapple saws is not necessary, but tree experience with trees and excavator experience are. These machines are truly amazing to operate especially if you have spent years on a tree crew.

You would spend most of your time running one of our machines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining your machine to highest standard
- Filling out all Pre-starts and doing all safety documentation
- Providing on-going support to you Foreman/ The right person would have the opportunity to be a Foreman.
- Site clean ups
- Truck driving
- Removing trees be means of mechanical assisted falling
- Machine Operation

About you
- Must understand tree work and chainsaw use.
- Must be experienced in large commercial sites
- A strong commitment to quality.
- An understanding of customer service.
- Must be reliable.
- Hold a valid driver's licence
- Must be vaccinated.
- Be able to obtain a Working with children's check.
- Be well presented.
- Must be good with machines, Pre-starts etc
- Must be able to pass a drug test

Qualifications required/Tickets
- Rail Tickets (Desirable not essential)
- Excavator ticket (essential)
- Chipper ticket
- Chainsaw Ticket
- First Aid
- HR Licence (Desirable)
- Arb qualification (Desirable but not essential)

Training

On-going training will be provided to familiarize with grapple saws and operational procedures.

Professional development opportunities will be presented as part of the package if agreed upon.

Salary

The salary will depend on experience.

**Salary**: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Clayton South, VIC: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Experience**:

- Saw operation: 1 year (preferred)
- Excavator: 1 year (required)

- Australia (preferred)
