Working with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.You'll be part of our Engine Shop, working as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer within Engine & Component Maintenance Services.
In this hands-on role, you'll carry out C checks on a range of engines including the CFM56-7, CF6-80E1, and CF6-80C2, as well as applicable Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
Your responsibilities will include - but won't be limited to - removing and installing Quick Engine Change (QEC) and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), performing full borescope inspections of engines and APUs, and removing, inspecting, and installing fan blades.
You'll be part of a specialist crew committed to safety, quality, and reliability - supporting both Qantas Group and customer airlines - with plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your career.Eligibility CriteriaCertificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics), or the ability to successfully transfer your qualifications through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processExperience working directly with engines; experience with CF6-80E1, CF6-80C2, and CFM56-7 is advantageousRelevant aircraft maintenance trade experience in an engine shop environmentExtensive aircraft servicing experience across various aircraft types (advantageous)Thorough knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance proceduresCommitment to safe working practices and service standardsHighly developed attention to detailDemonstrated high ethical standards and self-disciplineAbility to work shift work (day and night shifts)Must meet all visa requirements, including English language proficiency as set by the Department of Home AffairsWe've worked hard to create a culture that will challenge and excite you - and give you the support you need to really go places.
