**Security Clearance**: NV1 or NV2

**Background**

Our client is seeking existing NV1 and NV2 personnel to support a vital organisation that works across the full spectrum of intelligence and security operations to defend Australia from global threats and advance national interests.

The TDT will be tasked with designing, building, testing and operating ICT systems, such as a gateway capability to connect ADF ISR related projects to Defence strategic networks and meet key milestones for the project. The gateway capability required solution is heavily focussed on the collection, inspection, transport and assurance of data between security classified environments.

**Role Description**
- Lead the design, build, test and operation of security systems within a complex IT network
- Lead the security system authorisation process based on NIST 800-37 RMF
- Perform threat and risk assessments
- Develop and manage security control baselines
- Guide technical staff on implementation of security controls
- Conduct control compliance audits
- Plan and supervise vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop a plan for ongoing security actions and milestones
- Manage regular security testing and monitoring
- Ensure access to IT systems is limited to role and user needs
- Establish an incident response plan and supporting playbooks
- Manage, develop and implement IT security policies and documentation that meet ASD and Defence requirements
- Support, plan and conduct test and evaluation activities for deliverable systems and products.
- As required, undertake any other tasks as requested by the Technical team
- Work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Be experts in their relative fields.
- Provide documentation according to their specialisation and role in the TDT and their respective solution areas.
- Be accountable for their respective activities and deliverables.
- Report on schedule status, dependencies, risks and issues to the Project Managers.

**Key Requirements**
- **Willingness to self-fund the costs of upgrading from NV1/NV2 to TSPV (approximately AUD$15K);**:

- Willingness to undergo the Positive Vetting process which will likely include detailed investigation into personal relationships, living circumstances, personal values, financial situation, physical and mental health history including substance use, and any civil and/or military record.
- Willingness to undergo an Occupational Suitability Assessment (OSA) which determine suitability to work in high security roles.
- Familiarity with big data systems.
- Recent and relevant technical expertise in the relevant field.
