Our client is looking for an experienced Chemist who can work in a high pressure, high volume, fast pace environment working with a team of Chemists to complete the Laboratory sampling and testing for a large-scale Oil and Gas Refinery. If you have a strong background in a high volume laboratory environment, working for an Oil and Gas or Mining company this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and growing company.
- **Attractive Salary - $50 - $65/hr + super (Dependent on experience)**:

- **Office location: Port of Brisbane - Lytton**:

- **6 Months Contract - possibility to move to Perm position**:

- **Initially the position would be day work (6.30am-2.45pm) but there may be a requirement to work shift (afternoons and/or weekends).**:

- **Start ASAP**

**Accountabilities and Requirements**:

- Science Degree essential
- Strong safety and occupational health focus.
- Commitment to incident free operation.
- Effective and frequent stakeholder communication
- Ability to develop good understanding of refinery products and processes.
- Experience performing analytical sampling on a Refinery.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to wear respiratory apparatus (successfully pass respiratory fit test)
- Thorough understanding of Laboratory test methods and procedures.
- Good understanding of Laboratory instruments.
- Demonstrated strong technical/professional problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- High work standards and attention to detail.
- Good time management, with the ability to carry out multiple tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong personal integrity.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to successfully handle high pressure work situations.
- Self-motivated.
