Lead Power Systems Engineer Job Description
The role of Lead Power Systems Engineer is a senior position within the Power Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and driving design, reports, studies, and analysis for diverse clientele across resources and renewable energy.
Conduct in-depth power system analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement power systems designs that meet client needs while ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Manage and evaluate tenders from various clients, negotiating contracts that align with company objectives.
Utilize advanced power systems modeling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETA to analyze and optimize power system performance.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, instrumentation, and controls applications, with expertise in HV power systems, network analysis, and design.
Self-management skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders. Regular travel may be required to meet with clients and attend project-related meetings.
