If you're keen to apply your hands-on trade expertise while moving into a role that combines technical work with contractor coordination and client engagement, this opportunity is for you.In this role, you'll continue to be involved in plumbing maintenance and minor works, but you'll also be the primary point of contact on-site – managing contractors, coordinating jobs, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring facilities are operating efficiently.

Experience in other non-licensed areas or small project coordination will be highly regarded – and UQ will provide training and support to help you broaden your skills and succeed in the role.Key responsibilities will include:Deliver and coordinate plumbing maintenance, repairs, and minor works across the precinct.Act as the main client contact, managing requests and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.Supervise contractors, source quotes, and oversee works to meet safety, quality, budget and timeframes.Inspect and monitor building assets and systems, log jobs, and maintainaccurate records.Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and UQ safety requirements.Support continuous improvement and contribute to a safe, efficient facilities environment.About UQAs part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.
