Infrastructure ArchitectSydney based / Permanent roleI'm partnering with a long-standing client to hire a solution driven Infrastructure Architect to modernise and secure their core tech environment.
This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who still enjoys being in the detail, thrives on designing and securing infrastructure, and is happy to work across on-premise, cloud and network platforms.Why this role?
Lead the design, maintenance and security of infrastructure for a medium enterprise with a national footprintPartner with operations, and project delivery teams to drive modernisation and uplift capabilityShape foundational architecture across AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, firewalls, and hybrid identitySupportive team culture with ongoing transformation and investment in technologyResponsibilities include:Designing and maintaining the organisation's core infrastructure services with a strong security lensDriving improvements across identity and access, secure network architecture and system configurationsLeading the technical delivery of infrastructure projects (migrations, upgrades, integration)Acting as a senior escalation point and SME across Windows Server, networking, backup/DR, and authenticationContributing to the documentation, life cycle management, and disaster recovery planningSupporting the adoption of zero-trust principles and secure connectivity across sites and platformsWhat we're looking for:6+ years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineer including 3 years in a senior/architectural roleExperienced with Microsoft technologies such as AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Azure ADStrong understanding of authentication protocolsExperienced with a secure network environment such as VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, routing, switchingGood understanding of disaster recovery, backup processes, and ensuring systems stay online across on-prem and cloud environments.Familiarity with security frameworks such as Essential Eight or CIS BenchmarksIf you're someone who enjoys being hands-on and delivering outcomes with strategic improvement, I'd love to hear from you
