Previous catering or similar experience, flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment with knowledge of food preparation and food safety is desirable however we are very willing to train interested candidates new to the industry.THE POSITIONAssist in preparing and presenting patient mealsMeal delivery to wards and collectionDemonstrate adaptability by taking on various tasks and responsibilities as neededMaintain kitchen cleanliness and organisationFollowing all Food and Safety proceduresTHE PERSONPrevious hospital and/or aged care Catering Assistant experience or the genuine desire to learnAbility and desire to work within the site based Mental Health CentreAbility to prepare and serve food itemsin accordance with strict food safety guidelinesAbility to work unsupervised (following site based training)Personable, a team player who has exceptional communication skillsCommitment to respond to customer requests in a timely and friendly mannerWell developed interpersonal and communication skillsA discreet and respectful mannerHigh level of personal presentation and hygieneFlexibility to work shifts during the weekdays and weekendsTHE BENEFITSAccess to training and development programs to support your growthImmediate access to 100+ retail discounts accessible from your mobileIt's not just a job, you get to play a part in making a difference to those who need it mostIn line with the required legislation, a valid and current criminal record check along with a staff health clearance will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
