The role of Data Governance Lead is a vital part of our data strategy. As the leader of AI and Data Governance, you will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining frameworks that ensure our data-driven solutions are responsible and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Data Governance: You'll develop and maintain our AI and Data Governance frameworks to guarantee high-quality data across all projects.">
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Support the management of key data assets, ensuring they meet their purpose and quality standards.">
  • Drive Compliance: Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects, ensuring we adhere to our obligations under the Privacy Act and APPs.">
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with data privacy and AI use.">
  • Collaboration and Education: Partner with teams to embed a 'Privacy-by-Design' culture and contribute to training programs.">

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data governance, data privacy, or technology risk.">
  • A practical understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).">
  • Hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).">
  • An understanding of data management principles, including data quality and lifecycle management.">
  • A solid grasp of AI concepts (machine learning and generative AI) and their associated privacy challenges.">
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.">
