Demonstrate the right skill and attitude, and we'll place an incredible amount of trust in you to move on to bigger and better things.Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways, responsible for providing ground handling and freight services to the Qantas Group.As the Performance Manager overseeing our QantasLink operations, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of Ground Staff to achieve the QGS people and business objectives.
This role is pivotal in driving team performance, engagement, and development, as well as applying account management skills.You'll manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, attendance, fitness for work, and disciplinary matters, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.
With a strong focus on communication and capability development, you'll support individuals and teams to meet performance criteria and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.To be successful in this role, you will have:4+ years' experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, with strong leadership in a 'just culture' environmentExceptional communication skills, engaging effectively with stakeholders, peers, and frontline staffProven case management and employee performance oversight, including disciplinary, attendance, and fitness-for-work mattersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive decisions and outcomesHighly organized and resilient, capable of managing multiple priorities and motivating others under pressureSound judgment, discretion, and integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality and coaching othersWhy Qantas?
