Glide Products is a privately owned Western Australian company and operates from its factory and office in Wangara Western Australia. Established in 1974 and ISO 9001 certified, Glide is one of Australia's leaders in the manufacture of powered and manual wheelchairs.

Due to continued growth are seeking an experienced Seam stresses to join the team.

We are seeking a team player with a strong commitment to quality, safety and achieving high levels of productivity.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7.15am-3.15pm. Award rates apply. Onsite parking is available.
- Alter, mend, and modify wheelchair fabrics
- Cut out patterns, staple and glue components and fit covers.
- Sewing of various fabrics including but not limited to fabric, foam, rubber and or leather or leather like fabric.
- Gather materials
- Be responsible for ensuring the quality of own work.
- Ensure a high standard of communication and records management.

For you to be the successful applicant you will have:

- Excellent sewing skills
- Ability to follow specific instructions based on needs of an item
- Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments
- Ability to sew various fabrics
- Experience within a Small Medium Enterprise (SME) manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated safe use of sewing machines and standard sewing hand tools.
- Team player with a strong commitment to quality, safety and achieving high levels of productivity.
- Understanding of work processes and ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to learn and develop technical and product knowledge.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency against competing deadlines.
- Sound time management skills with a high attention to detail and focus, especially whilst undertaking repetitive tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within an organization.
- Basic computer and information technology skills
- Ability to build and maintain internal working relationships which contribute to a harmonious, efficient and productive working culture.

If successful, you will be required to provide a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) at your own cost.
