About the Role
Anglicare's Homelessness Services endeavours to empower women to make their own decisions and provide them with the resources they need to take control of their lives and participate in their community. This role is the provision of alcohol and drug interventions, mental health support, group activities and dual diagnosis counselling and oversees delivery of centre based, group and mobile support services. This role will manage programs supporting women and children experiencing homelessness, participants involved in the Queensland Drug and Alcohol court and a range of programs focused on early interventions for families and women exiting remand.
About You
Demonstrated understanding of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues impacting vulnerable individuals, with a strong focus on recovery-oriented practice.Experience in providing person-centred care, including intake and assessment, care coordination, counselling, and crisis intervention.Skilled in developing and implementing evidence-based interventions that support client engagement, harm reduction, and tenancy sustainment.Proven ability to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate services and programs with a focus on continuous improvement and positive outcomes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, respectful relationships with clients, colleagues, and service partners.Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including accurate record-keeping, data collection, and report writing.Capable of working effectively both independently and within a team environment, with minimal supervision.Committed to professional development and continuous learning, actively contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.Confident in applying quality and risk management practices, while promoting client safety, self-determination, and social justice principles.Familiar with participating in interagency networks, promoting best practice, and supporting service integration and innovation.Qualifications will include:
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Social Sciences or comparable qualification in a related field.National Police CheckBlue Card (Working with Children's Check)What happens now?
