**The Role**

As the Local Area Marketing Specialist you will support our Discovery Parks network through the development and implementation of local area marketing plans. The focus is on driving accommodation bookings to achieve park sales and revenue objectives. Sitting within and across the broader marketing team (which includes social, content, CRM, digital, and brand), you will work closely with the Regional Operation Managers (ROMs), Revenue Managers, and Park Managers.

This dynamic opportunity will challenge your commercial experience to ensure you question current strategies and provide insight into new trends.

The responsibilities will include:

- Brand and product custodian at a local level
- Work cross-functionally to deliver business solutions to meet park & regional revenue targets
- Build and leverage tourism industry partnerships to support tactical opportunities aligned to the park portfolio
- Assist the Operations Team in the preparation of the Park Value Creation Plans through local area market analysis, research, and insights generation
- Effectively launch new and redeveloped Property Assets to support broader business strategy and targets
- Coordinate Park collateral including branding, signage, and print assets
- Through the Brand & Advertising Manager - Discovery Parks, monitor the per-park budget to define and deliver all marketing activity within the agreed parameters
- Working with and across key communication channels (traditional and digital) to support the Operations Team and Parks to meet revenue outcomes by leveraging existing and developing new tactical campaigns and assets
- Assist in the development of park-centric content designed to optimise search ranking and drive booking conversion
- Understand and follow key operational reporting tools including Forward Booking Analysis to ensure all advertising and promotional material is targeted and focused according to occupancy within each park

**Your Experience**

You will have tertiary qualifications in Marketing combined with a strong understanding of budgeting, and executing activities that drive commercial results. You will pride yourself on your organisation skills and your ability to switch priorities on short notice. You have a particular interest in strategic planning and campaign implementation. Your analytical thinking is of the highest order and your fundamental marketing knowledge is second to none.

You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
