The National Blood Authority (NBA) is an Australian Government statutory agency whose role is to work in a collaborative manner with all Australian governments and blood sector stakeholders to save and improve Australian lives and patient outcomes through a world-class blood supply.For over 20 years, the National Blood Authority (NBA) has delivered an uninterrupted supply of blood and blood products to Australians in need under the national blood arrangements.Job ContextThe National Blood Authority (NBA) is seeking a motivated APS5 Project Officer to join the Immunoglobulin Governance Team within the Commercial Blood Products and Business Services Branch.This Branch is made up of three operational teams and two enabling teams.
The operational teams focus on ensuring Australians have timely access to life-saving blood products and building the evidence base to inform future funding and access decisions.
The enabling teams provide key services in finance, property, legal, people, and communications, supporting the NBA to achieve its mission.As a Project Officer, you will contribute to the National Immunoglobulin Governance Program, which ensures patients across Australia can access immunoglobulin (Ig) treatments in line with national policy and high-quality clinical evidence.
Immunoglobulin is a commercial blood product made from donated plasma.
It improves the quality of life for some patients with immune system disorders and immune-mediated conditions.
In some cases, it saves lives.The role involves supporting governance arrangements, IT systems, and clinical frameworks that underpin patient access to immunoglobulin.
You will:Provide administrative and project support for the development and review of governance arrangements for immunoglobulin products.Assist with activities related to product access and stakeholder engagement.Contribute to a dynamic work program where no two days are the same.About YouOur ideal candidate will:Hold relevant qualifications in a health-related field (desirable).
