The Business Intelligence and Analytics Unit manages the reporting of the hospital's key performance indicators against performance targets and assists the business with regular and ad hoc activity reporting, coordinates activity benchmarking, provides a data assurance role for activity submissions, and develops and reports clinical costing for The Women's.

Reporting to the Director Informatics, the Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics will be primarily responsible for providing analytical, business and information leadership, to support performance management initiatives and strategic goals. This role requires an excellent knowledge of healthcare and business processes, hospital funding policy, business performance management, benchmarking and information technology.

The Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics role sits within the Informatics Department which has 4 key portfolios:

- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Health Information Services
- Archives.

**Your contribution**

As the Manager, you will work collaboratively with Informatics, internal departments and finance, providing accurate and appropriate costing of patient activity for the Women's in accordance with the CCSAA standards, at a health service level, and underpinning the budget and understanding of variances at a clinical level

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Work collaboratively forming strong working relationships with business stakeholders (Executive Management, Clinical and Non-Clinical Directors) and have the capacity to understand and support their business management, performance and information requirements.
- Manage the Business Intelligence & Analytics team ensuring the smooth operation of day to day activities and supporting the staff by recognising the resourcing, skill mix and capabilities they require
- Manage The Women's management reporting tool and facilitating the uplift of this reporting platform in the next 6 to 12 months
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of data driven insights that facilitate the Women's to make sound business decisions

**About you**

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a related field along and/or relevant industry experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare and business processes, hospital funding policy, business performance management, benchmarking and information technology is required
- Good leadership skills and an innovative approach to work and a desire to improve and enhance current systems and processes.
- Strong leadership skills including strategic thinking, analytical, organisational and planning capabilities
