Environmental Health Compliance specialist required for local Gov Perm Opportunity

**Your new company**

Hays are looking for an experienced Environmental Health Compliance Professional to join a central Perth local Government on a permanent full-time basis.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Community Health Manager, in this role you will oversee statutory responsibilities to ensure effective monitoring and enforcement of relevant compliance functions. Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Implementing, enforcing and managing the requirements of Public Health Act 2016, Health Act 1911, Food Act 2006, Environmental Protection Regulations (Noise) 1997, Local Government Act 1995 and the City's local laws
- Team leadership, supervision and training
- Supporting the Community Health Manager in the preparation of Unit business plans, and monitoring and reviewing the Team practices
- Maintaining a performance based culture within the team
- Upholding effective WHS procedures and practices

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Health and relevant legislation
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, mentorship, coaching and mentoring in a professional team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work on weekends and/or Public holidays if required
- Current National Police Clearance
- 'C' Class Driver's License
