We are currently seeking a Trainee/Assistant Designer, reporting directly to either the Structural Engineering Discipline Manager or Mechanical Engineering Discipline Manager to join our team based in Perth, Australia.

**About the Job**

As a trainee designer/draft person, you have the opportunity to build up your career as structural or piping designer on onshore/offshore projects. In this role, you will be instructed and engaged in design and drafting of various elements from GA to detail design, fabrication, and installation drawings.

**Responsibilities**:

- 3D modelling using PDMS/E3D and drafting GAs, detail design and installation drawings.
- 2D modelling using AutoCAD.
- Assisting senior designer in development of design, updating registers and issuance of drawings.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to develop skills and knowledge in design.

**About You**

We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

- Relevant Diploma/Advanced diploma in engineering (civil/structural for structural positions and mechanical diploma for piping positions) - students currently studying are also encouraged to apply.
- Familiar with structural or piping modeling and drafting in general.
- Enthusiastic to learn modeling and drafting and engage in broad range of projects Proactively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred software experience: AVEVA PDMS and E3D, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
