The role

Sky is looking for a permanent Group Head of Software Security to lead the security implementation and transformation programme to deliver software security in Sky.

What you will do:

- Build, improve, and expand the DevSecOps product portfolio to provide end-to-end software security capability such as DAST, SAST, SCA, secrets management
- Develop processes for embedding security into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with solid experience using Jenkins.
- Implement security strategies within CI/CD pipeline
- Proficient at integration of various security tools into DevOps pipeline such as Jenkins, Jira, Gitlab, Github
- Collaborate with multiple DevOps Teams to advocate software security practices
- Collaborate with Cloud Security and Security Architects in maintaining/extending Cloud Security patterns and use cases
- Collaborate with internal and external DevOps teams and where necessary provide guidance of adopting security by design and if required, remediate identified vulnerabilities
- Support the development of software security operations for monitoring, testing, and where necessary conduct Cloud implementation audits
- Lead key software security services in-line with business requirements
- Work with technical and non-technical business personnel at various levels, articulating security risks in a manner appropriate to the stakeholders

What you should have
- 8+ years' experience in Information Security and/ or related fields
- The successful applicant will have been a Head of role or have experience working at a similar level
- Proficient with a variety of software development/scripting languages, tools and techniques
- Proficient with a variety of DevOps and DevSecOps tools and techniques
- Solid skills in driving teams in estimating work effort, deciding on product delivery approaches, and managing release processes (code repositories, versioning, release notes, UAT support etc.
- Ability to work with Application Development, Testing, and engineering teams both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of the Agile methodology
- Solid knowledge & skills in cloud infrastructure, provisioning, management, optimisation, and support in GCP, AWS and other major cloud base providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
