Location: North and South Brisbane, Townsville, and Telehealth Hours: Full-time/Part-time or Casual Clinic-based from our offices in Southern Brisbane (Yeerongpilly) and Northern Brisbane (Taigum/Sandgate) in the early intervention and school-based role in a multidisciplinary team.
Role also available for Townsville or telehealth working with early intervention and other services.

About the role: Our Therapy & Family Services team provide speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, and teacher of the deaf services across a number of programs, including NDIS.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to administer speech, language and listening assessments in accordance with Healthy Hearing Monitoring Guidelines in addition to providing speech pathology sessions for NDIS and Medicare clients with a hearing loss.
You will be supported to meet achievable billable hours with a high focus on high quality intervention.
You will interact with babies, children and their families supporting families' communication choices, values and embrace Auslan as the language of the Deaf community.
Additionally, Deaf Connect offers school-based services through the Hear for Kids in Schools, community, home visiting, and telehealth.
Main responsibilities of the role include: Assess children in accordance with assessment schedule and write formal reports.
Plan and develop programs to meet the needs of the child.
Implement therapy programs.
Provide appropriate, timely and effective clinical management.
Maintain up-to-date case notes and progress reports.
Work independently and cooperatively within a transdisciplinary model.
Providing family inclusive support.
Deliver services in home, community, and educational settings.
Contribute to the development of resources and programs that promote inclusive communication.
About you: In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience: Bachelor or Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
Speech Pathology Australia Certified Practising Membership.
NDIS Worker's Screening Check.
Working With Children Check/Blue Card.
Also let us know if you have these other great skills: Knowledge and skills in Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)and principles of Family Centred Practice (FCP).
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated an ability to manage caseloads independently.
Evidence of ongoing education/professional development relevant to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing population.
Experience in Auslan highly regarded.
Experience in telepractice highly regarded.
