Cloud 9 is currently looking for **male** team members to join us on this adventure of a life time We are looking for people who have a zest for life and MUST have interests with working with people within the Disability industry who are equipped with compassion, a strong-mindset, authenticity, and someone who get's the job done at the end of the day.

**Duties of a Cloud 9 Support Worker may vary depending on allocated clients which consists of**:

- Youth mentoring which consist of being a a role model to our clients
- Working with clients that have different diagnosis such as autism, psychosocial issues (anxiety, ADHD etc.)
- Managing potential behaviors of concerns
- Support in the community (playing sports, going to appointments, going to the movies, hiking, eating out, fun activities etc.)
- Home support (support to the client and families with house duties)
- Supporting clients that require support with hoisting and self-care
- Following client goals and achieving them by rapport building and being a involved with their well-being
- Working alongside professionals such as OT'S, behavioural therapists and more.
- Support in developing independence and life-skills which may include cooking and behaviour related issues (decreasing any specific behaviours)

**Essential skills and requirements (or willing to obtain)**:

- Experience working with young people with different behaviors (Highly Desirable)
- Experience with Hoisting/Manual handling (Desirable)
- Experience with working with people living with disabilities (Highly Desirable)
- Cert/Diploma of Disability, Youth Work, Individual Support or any relevant qualifications (or experience working in the field, Highly Desirable but not necessary)
- Personality and willingness to communicate
- Paid Blue Card
- Current National Police Check
- Disability worker screening (or Yellow Card)
- Child safety background screening check (LCS2)
- Valid Drivers License with registered vehicle and full comprehensive insurance
- First Aid and CPR
- Valid references

**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week

- Morning shift
