Kew Vet & Cattery is a vibrant, community-focused practice in Melbourne's inner east.
We offer high-quality veterinary services alongside a modern, boutique cat boarding facility.

Our clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical equipment, digital radiography, dental x-rays, in-house lab, and a strong focus on continuing education and high-level patient care.
About The Role
We're looking for a motivated and capable veterinary nurse to join on a full-time basis.
This role includes a mix of surgical, medical, hospital, and client care duties.
You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside experienced vets and nurses who are passionate about patient care and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and proceduresProviding surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoringDelivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clientsAdministering medications and preparing treatments as requiredManaging the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patientsCommunicating treatment plans and updates to clientsPerforming blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placementAssisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-raysContributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient care
About You
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalentMinimum 2 years' experience in small animal practice preferredStrong clinical skills and confidence in all areas of general practiceExcellent communication, organisational and multitasking abilitiesTeam player with a friendly and positive attitudeA genuine love for animals and their people
