Overview
AGPAL Group has an exciting opportunity for a Data Migration Specialist.
AGPAL and QIP are leading not-for-profit accreditation providers, specialising in the delivery of services to a diverse range of health, community and human service organisations across Australia.

The Data Migration Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for planning, leading, and executing end-to-end data migration from legacy platforms into Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the new accreditation system, using Azure cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Migration Strategy:Define the overall approach, select tools (e.g., DMF, SSIS, KingswaySoft), and manage timelines, risks, and rollback plans.
Prepare and Assess Data:Conduct a full inventory of legacy data, assess quality, identify transformation or archiving needs, and document source-to-target mappings.
Design and Build ETL Processes:Create and test ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory, incorporating cleansing and validation logic.
Support Testing and Cutover Activities:Perform trial and full data loads, assist in SIT/UAT, track data issues, and support cutover and go-live events.
Ensure Auditability and Handover:Maintain migration logs, deliver reconciliation and compliance reports, and provide handover documentation and training for ongoing data governance.
Map Complex Source and Target Environments:Define documentation for future state data governance.
Knowledge and skills
Attention to Detail:Ensures high data integrity.
Analytical Thinking:Ability to understand and map complex legacy data to Dynamics 365 data model.
Problem-Solving Mindset:Work through incomplete or poorly structured legacy data.
Collaborative Approach:Works effectively with business users, developers, and consultants across technical and non-technical teams.
Adaptability:Responds well to evolving project needs and unique migration scenarios.
Relevant Experience:Proven experience leading at least one end-to-end data migration into Dynamics 365.
Proven data migration experience using Azure cloud infrastructure.
