**How will you contribute?**:
**J**oining the Audit Office means being part of a team dedicated to excellence, integrity, and making a tangible difference for the people of NSW.
- We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager for 12 months as a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. In this role, you will lead a small team responsible for recruitment, performance management, remuneration (including payroll) functions and other operational aspects of People & Culture.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Contribute to the development of the P&C strategy.
- Develop P&C policies and guidelines to ensure they meet the needs of P&C, staff and the Audit Office.
- Implement and manage the recruitment, performance management and remuneration strategies that align to the P&C Strategy and the Audit Office Corporate.
- Oversee all pay-runs including fortnightly and ad hoc pay cycles, ensuring accuracy of information and timeliness of completion.
- Ensure P&C processes and procedures are effective and efficient and ensure a high quality of service can be delivered in a timely manner. This includes identifying areas of service delivery improvements and implement them in conjunction with the P&C team.
- Effectively manage relationships with internal and external parties, particularly client expectations relating to P&C requests.
- Analyse employee trends, identify potential risks or areas for improvement and provide reports to business stakeholders, so they can make informed strategic decisions.
- Deliver specific corporate/team objectives as agreed to achieve the vision, mission, values, goals and strategies of the Audit Office.

**What will you need to succeed?**:
You will also need**:

- Tertiary education or equivalent experience in HR.**
- A sound understanding and knowledge of relevant employee relations legislation, awards, policies and procedures in the NSW public sector.
- Experience in developing and continuously improving HR policies, programs, processes and practices.
- Experience with Human Resource information systems (iChris/Chris21 and Cornerstone experience desirable).
- Australian permanent resident or citizen or New Zealand citizen.
