**About the Role**:
John Holland is part of the CCCI Group which is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC). CCCC is one of the largest listed company in the international infrastructure and engineering sector.

We currently have an opportunity available for an Internal Auditor with the focus of utilising data analytics, who will be reporting into the Senior Internal Auditor. This role sits within the third line of defence of John Holland Group's governance model structure and is primarily responsible for conducting internal audits with a greater focus of utilising data more effectively, providing independent and objective assurance on internal controls, and identifying and implementing sustainable process improvement solutions within the John Holland Group. You will work collaboratively with audit customers, the audit team and other assurance functions within the organisation to deliver high quality audits and meet deadlines.

This role is based out of our landmark offices on Flinders Street in Melbourne and requires willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.

**What you will do;**:

- Conduct high quality audits either independently or with a team from beginning to end conforming to the JH requirements
- Prepare concise and informative audit reports for senior management and our shareholders
- Identify and document inherent risks and controls within business processes
- Provide input into the development of internal audit strategy and annual audit program
- Prepare and maintain internal audit deliverables including working papers, audit notification, terms of reference, reports, audit actions, status updates
- Monitor and follow up with the implementation of actions agreed with management
- Liaise with external auditors, joint venture auditors and consultants as appropriate

**What we are looking for;**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Legal, Engineering or other relevant discipline
- CA or CPA accreditation, or currently working towards qualification
- CIA, CISA or equivalent or working towards a qualification is desirable
- Demonstrated substantial experience across Internal Audit in medium to large organisations within the construction, heavy industry or engineering sectors
- First, second or third line of defence assurance experience in projects, IT, business cycles, commercial, operations and governance
- Experience in stakeholder management
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills
- Extensive data analytics skills and use of data analytics tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work autonomously as well as an excellent team player
- Ability to multitask, self-time manage, prioritise workload, resourceful and with a "can-do" attitude
- Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Conversational or business level Mandarin is preferred but not essential
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required as the role covers all functions and locations of John Holland.
