- Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.
- Schedule and plan audits, including project planning, risk assessment, and audit direction.
- Drive business-wide reviews, including ad hoc requests and fraud investigations.
- Define key on opportunities, scope, and approach for each engagement in line with the overall internal audit plan.
- Manage audit assignments, review workpapers and reports, and refine reports prepared by other auditors.
- Oversee preliminary planning, establish audit direction, provide guidance to assigned auditors, and ensure quality outcomes within time budgets.
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of internal control processes across key business risks.
- Liaise effectively with third-party providers, as required.
- Maintain and build on productive relationships with executive and operational teams, including Safety Risk Management.
- Provide specialist advice to senior management to strengthen the internal control environment.
- Develop and deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and scope documents to management and the Audit & Risk team.
- Manage projects, meet deadlines, and navigate conflicting priorities efficiently.
- Assist with preparing papers for the Audit & Risk team and other forums.
- Adapt to evolving tasks and priorities in a dynamic business environment.
- Stay informed on business trends, key issues, regulatory requirements, internal audit standards, audit techniques, and industry best practices.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CIA are highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of auditing practices, accounting standards, and risk management frameworks.
- Proficiency in audit software and financial systems.
- Exceptional commercial and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attractive salary package ranging from $160,000- $170,000 base super
