**What will you do**:
As an Associate Director you will play a crucial role in leading, developing and empowering our dynamic team of highly skilled Engineers. The position focuses on fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where our colleagues can thrive.

- Ensure the growth and vitality of our team. You will take a proactive stance on recruitment and retention, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Your mentorship and coaching will give our team members the support they need to excel in their roles while ensuring their overall well-being.
- Take operational lead within the group by taking ownership of proposals and fostering strong collaborations with other teams. You oversee projects, serve as project director or manager, and maintain close client relationships.
- Ensure project control and profitability and ensure the success of projects under your responsibility.
- Maintain a high level of quality and continuous improvement of our core services, further implementing digital tools and automation.
- Oversee project staffing, not only focused on delivery of results, but also on professional development of our staff.
- Form part of the BU "Extended Management Team" where it concerns operational, tactical, and strategic decisions of the AG and BU and the implementation of corporate transitions and improvement programs.
In this role, you report to the Director Advisory Group (AG) Maritime Water and Resilience and together with the other Associate Directors in the team, you collectively drive and ensure the success of the entire team.

**What you bring**:
You bring extensive experience as a specialist or project manager. You're a leader known for creating structure and nurturing talent. You exhibit trustworthiness, inspire colleagues, have previous experience leading teams on international projects and have proven organisational skills. You bring strength to the role, set boundaries, and position and structure the available capacity in the team well.
As Associate Director, you are also willing to explore new business opportunities and support initiatives, taking on the role of a critical advisor, sponsor, or initiator. You have an affinity for innovation and digital consultancy and are eager to embed this into our work.
Furthermore you:
- Hold an Engineering or related field relevant degree and or Masters.
- Minimum 10 - 15 years relevant working experience. Industry experience (engineering / construction, ports and shipping, defense and architecture) is highly desired.
