**Your new role**

Compliance Enablement forms part of the Member Governance & Accountability team. The team is responsible for support, advice, and monitoring of 1st line compliance matters across the Member Domain. This includes supporting and leading adherence to compliance obligations and the implementation of the Fund's Compliance Management Policy and Standard to ensure AustralianSuper remains in compliance with the law while striving to achieve business objectives and purpose.

The Compliance Specialist plays a key role in reviewing materials produced from various areas of the business and will work closely with their colleagues to ensure consistent and quality compliance outcomes. They will also support Compliance Managers in managing Member Domain compliance obligations and will mature the end-to-end control environment relation to compliance. In addition, in this technical role, the Compliance specialist will work with legal stakeholders to understand the underpinning obligations across the Member Domain.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Work in collaboration with risk and governance colleagues as well as obligation owners, to ensure appropriate measures are in place to determine if compliance risks are being effectively managed on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and implement appropriate systems and processes to address and comply with new legislation and regulatory guidance.
- Assess Member domain initiatives and concepts to ensure regulatory compliance within the business risk appetite. This includes reviewing a range of assets, communications, and other collateral to ensure compliance with superannuation, financial services, consumer protection, privacy and other relevant legislation and regulatory guidance.
- Review incidents and use Subject matter expertise to support compliance assessments of relevant incidents as they relate to Member Domain obligations.
- As required, assist with the preparation of reports for the function, Leadership team, Executive team, the Chief Executive, Board Committees and the Board on relevant trends, performance, specific projects, risks, opportunities, and challenges.
- Provide technical support on compliance matters relating to Member Domain obligations across all levels of management and stakeholders.

**What you'll need
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally with experience in superannuation.
- High level knowledge about superannuation laws and associated regulatory requirements.
- Experience reviewing and assessing materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulatory guidance.
- Experience analysing, assessing, and implementing changes in legislation and regulatory guidance.
- Experience developing new frameworks, policies, and standards for business use.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain high quality interpersonal relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the Fund.
- Knowledge of financial services, privacy, and consumer protection laws would be desirable.
