If so, we're looking for a Career Coach to join our team in Armadale supporting the following locations in the East Metro Region:

This isn't just a job; it's a chance to make a real difference. As a Career Coach, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants in the Inclusive Employment Assistance (IEA) program. Your role will be to empower them to navigate the employment landscape, understand their rights, and build the skills they need to succeed.
You will be a trusted partner, guiding individuals through every step of their journey, from creating a personalised support plan to providing resume and interview coaching, and even assisting with workplace communication and accommodations. You'll also work on a broader level, identifying and reporting on systemic issues to help create a more inclusive employment landscape for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Advocacy: Provide direct support to participants, helping them understand their rights and responsibilities, develop personalised employment plans, and build confidence through ongoing coaching.
Systemic Advocacy: Identify and report on systemic issues to contribute to broader advocacy efforts and influence positive change in policies and practices.
Case Management: Manage your own caseload, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping and compliance with all program guidelines.
What We are Looking For
Experience:
A proven track record of working with and advocating for people with disability, with a deep understanding of social justice and human rights.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. You\'ll be highly organised, a great problem-solver, and proficient with data management systems.
Knowledge:
Expertise in the disability sector, including an understanding of the IEA (or DES) and NDIS programs, and relevant legislation. You should also have experience in employment services, including job search techniques and workplace coaching.
Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field like Human Services, Social Work, or Community Services, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
