As an industry leader, they are dedicated to shaping the future of the wholesale energy market. The company is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Risk Analyst to join their team and contribute to their Wholesale Energy Markets team.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Conducting thorough market analysis and research to identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities within wholesale energy markets.
- Developing and implementing effective risk management strategies that optimize trading decisions and protect market positions.
- Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including traders, finance, and operations, to ensure efficient risk communication and execution of hedging strategies.
- Monitoring market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform risk mitigation strategies and adapt to evolving market conditions.
- Providing timely and insightful risk assessments and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Mentoring and supporting junior analysts, fostering their professional growth and skill development.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Wholesale Energy Market Risk Analysis or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of energy market fundamentals, including pricing mechanisms, supply and demand dynamics, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced analytical tools and software for data analysis and modeling.
- Strong analytical acumen with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proven track record of thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments, effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
