**ROLE**

The Engineering manager is a hands-on software developer who leads by example in delivering top-quality production within tight deadlines. They

work closely with other members of the engineering management team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software releases to customers.

The Engineering manager will supervise a team of 5+ Software Developers and Data Scientists who are working independently or collaboratively on delivering product features as per the company Roadmap.

He will be responsible for both team management and product development and ensuring developers are aware of deadlines and providing constructive feedback to others, acting as a domain expert in code reviews, suggesting design alternatives, and discussing trade-offs where appropriate.

He will be coaching and mentoring graduates and experienced software engineers and talking about best practices in engineering standards

**YOU**:

- **Australian citizenship
- **_due to eligibility for NV1 defense clearance requirement for the role_**:

- Bachelor's Degree or above in Systems/ Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related areas With 5 + years of experience
- Experience managing Software Teams in fixed-time, fixed-budget
environments
- Designing, implementing, and testing software components, in one or more languages e.g. Java, Javascript, Python
- With key technology areas including software engineering, data storage, web technologies, and machine learning
- Understanding of agile methodologies and the ability to work within an agile software development team
- Using web front-end technologies e.g. HTML and software frameworks e.g. React, Angular, and Spring
- Experience with search engines or NoSQL document stores e.g. Elasticsearch, Solr, MongoDB
