About the Role
As a Principal Policy Officer, your key responsibilites will include:

- Drafting and preparing briefs and supporting documents to assist senior officers;
- Preparing responses to Ministerial correspondence;
- Providing advice to senior officers on significant appointments to statutory bodies and managing the appointment process including liaison with statutory bodies, preparation of briefings and submissions (including to Cabinet);
- Coordinating and managing departmental processes including legislative delegations;
- Liaising with officers across the department at a range of levels to provide advice on the content and provision of briefs and preparation of papers;
- Liaising with key external stakeholders, including Racing Queensland, Department of Premier and Cabinet and Queensland Treasury, for input into briefing papers and other decisions;
- Administering grants programs processes;
- Providing secretariat support to projects and committees.
