**About this Opportunity**

Based in Harvey, Western Australia (140km south of Perth), we are seeking an outstanding Environment, Health and Safety Advisor responsible for ensuring compliance to policies, standards, licence and legal requirements. With an estimated 50/50 split between environment, and health and safety, environmentally there is a key focus on waste water management.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this role will be responsible for the following:
Environmental
- Managing the day to day results and actions of the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure compliance in waste water management.
- Ensure the treatment plant is operated according to licence conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual regulatory and legislative requirements as a minimum standard.
- Identify and improve system issues and procedural changes.
- Recommend and implement operating plans, budgets and capital additions as necessary within the budgetary guidelines.

Health and Safety
- Maintain a strong operational 'presence' across the site.
- Assisting sites in the development of site safety plans
- Coach and mentor team leaders and managers in safety processes
- Drive safety improvement through initiatives, training, and coaching.
- Initiate, coordinate and/or deliver safety training programs leading to safety performance improvement.
- Assist site teams to investigate all incidents and accidents to ensure they get to root cause.
- Assist teams to conduct safety audits, hazard identification, risk assessment and accident prevention programs.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or equivalent relevant qualification and;
- Experience in:

- Water or Waste Water Treatment;
- Health and Safety;
- Australian Food Industry (highly desirable)
- HAZOP, GMP experience (desirable)
