Find your future with us.We are currently seeking a front-line Manufacturing Manager to join our advanced manufacturing site on a full-time permanent basis on day shift.
This position is based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne.We're seeking a highly motivated front-line leader who is passionate about manufacturing and champions safety, quality, continuous improvement and positive team culture to achieve operational excellence.You will be supported by the Senior Manufacturing Manager on day shift and will have the responsibility to lead a diverse production team, develop and implement plans to engage our manufacturing teams, support staff, and ensure assets reliability to meet production requirements.As a Manufacturing Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining a high level of operational performance, delivering commercial airplane components to support final assembly at The Boeing Company.Position Responsibilities:Manage and lead a production team to achieve operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Ensure safety standards are met and maintained in the production areaIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and qualityCollaborate with other leaders to maintain the operating rhythm of operationsTrack production metrics and report performance to senior managementEnsure that the team is trained and fully equipped to meet production targetsEnsure that all production documentation and records are accurately maintainedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):Proven experience leading, coaching and supporting teams in a complex manufacturing / factory environment in a front-line managerial or supervisory roleDemonstrated ability to work cross functionally with a range of stakeholders to collaborate and influence others to ensure program deliverables are achievedExperience and familiarity implementing Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiativesAbility to analyze data and make sound decisions based on the dataStrong communication, leadership skills, ability to manage conflict and negotiatePlease note that in order to be considered, candidates will need to have full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.Additional Information:The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3-month probationary period.About our benefits:Work on cutting edge projects for an industry leaderAdditional annual leave dayStrong career opportunitiesAccess to Boeing Discount Program – an exclusive retail and services discount marketplaceAccess discounts for health insurance, travel and accommodationSalary packaging options availableHealth and wellbeing benefits including annual flu vaccinations and Employee Assistance ProgramJoin community and social groupsAbout us:Boeing Aerostructures Australia is Australia\'s leading designer and manufacturer of composite flight control components for commercial aircraft.
