We are thrilled to be opening our new accessible café that is loved by locals and a reliable business. In addition, this café will truly have heart as we help train, support, and empower people within our local community and individuals with a disability. Our offerings will include great coffee and a simple, no fuss but full flavor food menu.
To help us on our journey, we are looking for a **Full Time Café Manager **to oversee the café with a passion of creating an amazing café environment and supporting the local community.This will be a hands-on role, where you will be on the floor working with customers, alongside your team to ensure our customers are leaving full and happy.
**A typical day might look like**:

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the café
- Work both 'in the café, and on the café goals'
- Oversee the operations of the café's front-of-house, including rosters, setup, clean down and stock ordering, and reporting of sales.
- Manage equipment servicing
- Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk, local products and other ingredients)
- Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
- Ensure all areas are clean and tidy reflecting safety and hygiene
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
- Create promotional offers to increase sales
- Hire and onboard new wait staff and baristas
- Provide all staff with practical on the job training and workplace development & opportunities to achieve their goals
- Network to establish relationships with corporate, business and community groups

**To really thrive in this role you will have a passion for building an inclusive café as well as**:

- Previous experience in a hospitality management position
- Experience in establishing a new café or hospitality venue
- Ability to balance the responsibilities of a café business while supporting the operations and ideals of a community organization
- Experience in managing, supporting and training staff and trainees to achieve their goal
- Exceptional customer service and people skills
- Experience in financial management (budgets, stock, cash)
- Hospitality experience including barista skills
- Ability to work flexible hours if required
- Brownie points if you have experience in baking or catering
- Familiar with building and nurturing relationships with corporate, business and community groups.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
- Working with children check
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccinations, in line with government regulations
- National Police check from the last 3 months
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
