**The core capability requirements for this role are**:

- Lead and develop a 24/7 Watch Desk team in the delivery of expert advice and operational leadership, coaching and guidance on a broad range of people matters including effective workforce management.. Provide high level strategic advice to senior management on watch desk operations, workforce planning and other initiatives that support performance driven, and continuous improvement culture. Develop and initiate innovative Watch Desk operational strategies. Conduct research and contribute to the implementation and evaluation that ensures a safe environment for staff within the center or operating through the state. Analyse complex resource issues and prepare reports, summaries and submissions that convey the insights gained from the analysis to seniormanagement. Establish and sustain relationships with key stakeholders in the development of organisational change solutions that improve all stages of the Disaster Management teams operations. Research, prepare and present high-level correspondence and briefing material, and provide quality advice to senior management on a range of complex workforce management issues.

Role Requirements
- Other: Capacity to support operational duties during disaster events. This may require work outside of normal hours (e.g. night shift), including weekends, working extended hours and may include deployment to other parts of the State.
